HAND TO HAND, INC.

We are pleased to give you some information about Hand to Hand, Inc.  Hand to Hand, Inc. is a local, non-profit, tax-exempt organization, which has been in operation since 1989 in McCurtain County, Oklahoma.  Our sole purpose is to provide emergency food to people in need in McCurtain County.  We operate a food pantry, currently located in Haworth.  The food pantry was originally located in Idabel for many years; however, when we lost our lease at our Idabel location, we were offered a building in Haworth. The majority of the people we serve (over 80%) are from Idabel; followed by residents of Haworth, Tom, Garvin, Broken Bow, Eagletown, Millerton, Valliant, Wright City, Smithville,  and many other small communities in the county.  We serve clients based on referrals from DHS, local churches, the local Red Cross, counseling centers, home health agencies, educational facilities and several other entities.  In 2019, we served 6619 individuals from 3532 families.  We provide each family enough food for 3 meals a day for 3 days x the number of people in the family.  Due to limited food supplies, we are only able to provide food boxes once every 3 months per family. Clients are required to provide a referral form along with two pieces of identification.
